Toyota Kirloskar Motor has sold 25,027 vehicles in the domestic market in September 2026. This figure is 7.61 percent less than 27,089 units in September last year. Compared to August 2026, sales also declined by 11.91 percent to 3,383 vehicles. Total sales (including exports) stood at 28,218 units, which is 9.24 percent less than 31,091 units in September 2025.
There has also been a decline of 20.26 percent in exports. On a quarterly basis, a total of 93,576 vehicles were sold in July-September, which is 4.42 percent less than last year. However, total sales from January to September still remained at 2,94,914 units, increasing by 8.10 percent. The company is hoping to increase sales in the festive season. Decline in domestic sales and exports
Domestic sales in September stood at 25,027 units while exports stood at 3,191 units. Exports in September last year were 4,002 units. The domestic market contributed about 72 percent to the total decline.
4.42% decline in third quarter
In the quarter from July to September 2026, Toyota sold 93,576 vehicles including domestic and export. In the same quarter last year, this figure was 97,902. A sharp decline of 22.09 percent was seen in exports.
Still 8.10% increase in January-September
Total sales in the first nine months of the year were 2,94,914 units, which is 22,090 units more than last year. Domestic sales increased by 9.12 percent to 2,69,619 units, while exports registered a slight decline.
Keep an eye on the festive season
Sabri Manohar, Executive Vice President, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said that customer interest in various segments remained in September. The company will focus on increasing customer engagement in collaboration with dealers during the festive season. The updated Glanza is going to be launched later this month.
