Kia India has made a new sales record in September 2026. The company registered an impressive growth of 41 percent on an annual basis by selling 32,017 units. Seltos and Sonet played a key role in this record performance, while new models and powertrain options like CNG, Hybrid and EV also increased demand. Kia India has achieved the best monthly performance in its history in September 2026. The company has sold 32,017 units this month, which is 41 percent more than 22,700 units in September last year. This figure is the best monthly volume since the company’s entry into India. After selling 29,042 units in August 2026, a monthly growth of about 10 percent was also recorded in September.
Kia’s total sales in the third quarter stood at 89,259 units, which is 38.5 percent more than the same period last year. From January to September, the company has sold 2,53,008 units, which is an increase of 22.5 percent compared to last year. Seltos and Sonet have achieved great growth in the company’s sales. This September figure proved to be a milestone for Kia India. The company not only showed strong year-on-year growth, but also grew compared to the previous month. The growth of 38.5 percent in the third quarter and 22.5 percent growth in nine months clearly shows that Kia’s portfolio is gaining a good hold in the market.
The beauty of Seltos and Sonet
Seltos and Sonet are making the biggest contribution to sales. On an average, more than 10,000 units of Seltos are being sold per month since January. Sonet remains strong in the sub-compact SUV segment. Carens, Carens Clavis, Clavis EV, Sciros EV and the new Sorento (diesel and hybrid) have also contributed to the volume increase. CNG versions of the Carens and Carens Clavis were launched in September, and deliveries of the Sorento have also begun.

Atul Sood, Senior Vice President (Sales and Marketing), Kia India, said that the strong performance of September and the third quarter reflects customer confidence and the strength of the portfolio. He told that Seltos and Sonet played the biggest role. The company is focusing on meeting the changing needs of customers with petrol, diesel, CNG, hybrid and electric options.
