Agra: Buying a new vehicle on the occasion of Diwali and Dhanteras is considered auspicious. This is the reason why a large number of people like to buy cars and other vehicles during the festival. But before buying a vehicle, people have a question in their mind that which option is better among petrol, diesel, CNG or electric. An expert associated with the automobile sector in Agra for the last 12 years said that these days the highest demand is for CNG vehicles. He said that even though the initial price of CNG cars is slightly higher than petrol models, people who travel long distances daily are preferring them due to their low cost.

Experts said that petrol car is a good option for working people who have less daily running time. At the same time, diesel vehicles can prove to be better for those traveling in hilly and inaccessible areas. On the other hand, there is still some hesitation among customers regarding electric vehicles. The main reason for this is the lack of adequate charging stations available in many areas. In such a situation, while purchasing a vehicle, it is important to keep in mind the budget, daily distance and usage.

Taxi profile person likes CNG car
Dharamveer Kushwaha, who has been associated with the automobile sector in Agra for the last 12 years, said that people driving taxis prefer CNG vehicles the most. Among these, demand for Maruti Swift and Ertiga is high. He said that these vehicles are considered a good option for everyday business use along with giving better mileage at lower cost.

Dharamveer said that people who need to cover long distances every day also prefer to buy CNG vehicles. One of its specialties is that petrol tank facility is also available in CNG vehicles. In such a situation, if CNG runs out or gas station is not available, the journey can be continued with petrol also. This feature makes them different from electric vehicles.

Rural people prefer to buy diesel vehicles.
Dharamveer Kushwaha of Agra said that people of villages and rural areas still rely more on diesel vehicles. The main reason for this is the better strength of these vehicles and their ability to move on difficult roads. He said that the demand for vehicles like Bolero and Scorpio is high in rural areas. These vehicles are preferred for traveling on bad roads and long distances.

Dharamveer said that there is a ban on BS-4 vehicles in Delhi-NCR, whereas BS-6 standard vehicles operate there. Apart from this, diesel vehicles are considered a better option even in hilly areas, because their performance proves useful on uphill roads.
