Apple is preparing to update its MacBook and iPad lineup in the coming year. According to the report of Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the company may introduce new MacBook Pro and several iPad models in 2027.
These may include OLED MacBook Pro with M7 series chip, iPad Air with OLED display and new entry-level iPad. However, official information regarding the launch date and features of these devices has not been revealed yet.
MacBook Pro with M7 Pro and M7 Max chips can come
According to Bloomberg’s Power On newsletter, Apple is working on the next generation of its touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro. M7 Pro and M7 Max chipsets can be given in these laptops.
It is believed that the company can offer them in screen sizes of 14 inches and 16 inches. However, at present not much information has been revealed regarding its design and other specifications.
Apart from this, Apple can also prepare a new 14 inch MacBook Pro, which will have M7 chip. This model is expected to have a thin and light design. Also, there may be less bezels around the screen than before.
This laptop could be the next version of the existing M6 MacBook Pro. The M6 model has a non-OLED and non-touchscreen display, while the OLED variant comes in the more premium segment.
A19 chip can be found in iPad 12
Apple may also launch a new iPad in the first half of 2027. According to the report, the company is preparing to update the entry-level iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro.
A19 chipset is expected to be available in the upcoming iPad 12. Along with this, support of Apple Intelligence, N1 networking chip and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity can also be provided. There is a possibility of getting C1X modem in its cellular variant. However, these features have not been officially confirmed yet.
New iPad Air may come with OLED display
Apple can also introduce its iPad Air with a major upgrade. The report claims that the next iPad Air may have an OLED display. With this, better contrast and deeper black colors can be seen in the tablet.
At the same time, the new model of iPad Pro is expected to get a faster chipset. The company can also provide a vapor cooling chamber in it, which will help in keeping the device cool during high power consuming tasks like AI and gaming.
New devices may be launched before June 2027
According to Mark Gurman, if Apple does not delay its launch plan, the new iPad models could be introduced before June 2027. However, no official announcement has been made yet regarding the launch timeline of MacBook Pro and iPad.
At present all this information is based on reports and leaks. The price, features and launch date of the new MacBook and iPad are awaited from Apple.
