The lifestyle of Russian President Vladimir Putin is often in the news. Not much information is available about him because he keeps himself very secret. But he himself has told about some things from time to time. A similar question may be in your mind that which phone does Putin use? Does he appear to have an iPhone in his hand or does he have some special Russian secure phone? Putin himself had revealed about this.
Kremlin has also said – Putin does not have a phone
Not only Putin’s statement, but Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has also talked about this. Peskov had said in an interview that as far as he knows, Putin does not have a phone. According to him, the use of smartphone can pose a threat to a person’s privacy and security and this threat becomes more serious in the case of a high-profile leader. This is the reason why Putin’s communication system is quite different from that of common people.
So what does Putin use?
Putin had also earlier told that there are strict rules regarding the use of mobile phones in the Kremlin. If they have to talk to someone, they use the official secure phone line instead of a normal smartphone. That is, the matter is not just that Putin does not like iPhone or he does not even want to have an Android phone. The biggest issue behind this is security and leaking of sensitive information.
Does Putin have a Russian secure phone?
The Russian government itself has made it clear that Putin does not own a smartphone. But this does not prove that he uses any particular Russian secure mobile phone. From time to time, claims of different phones or special communication devices have been made on the Internet in Putin’s name. But official confirmation will be necessary to declare a particular model as their personal phone. Therefore, it would be more correct to say that Putin’s communication system is not based on common smartphones.
Putin’s distance from the Internet
Putin has also talked about the Internet many times. During the meeting in 2017, school children had asked him whether he watches Instagram or other social media platforms? On this Putin had said, I myself never use the Internet. Most of my time is busy with work, so I don’t have time for things like Instagram. However, he also said that his staff members use the Internet.
