Tata Motors has recently launched its new model Aeris in the compact sedan segment, which is the successor to the old Tigor. Starting at just Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom), this model can be purchased in five variant options – Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative and Accomplished.
Both petrol and CNG options are available in these, along with manual and AMT gearbox options are also included. Amidst its competitors like Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura in the market, Aeris is attracting attention with its strong build quality, standard six airbags and practical features. Let us know which is its Most Value For Money variant?
Value for money variants of Tata Aeris
According to experts and reviews, the Pure+ variant would prove to be the best value-for-money. It compensates for the shortcomings of the base model and avoids the high price of the top variants. It has the right balance of everyday use, safety and connectivity. Prices start around Rs 6.74 lakh (Petrol MT) and go up to Rs 8.29 lakh for CNG AMT, making it attractive for budget-conscious buyers. Let us know in detail what is offered in Pure+?
design details
The exterior of Aeris is as smart and modern as Tiago. At the front, a sleek look, body-coloured door handles and a shark-fin antenna give the Pure+ its distinct identity. The petrol variant gets 15-inch Dynamic Hyperstyle stylish steel wheels, while the CNG gets 14-inch. The LED headlamps and connected tail lamps of the higher variants are missing here, but the overall look remains clean.
Cabin and Comfort
Its interior has been designed in dual-tone theme. Fabric seats, front armrest (with storage) and rear center armrest (with cupholers) add to the comfort. Rear AC vents provide coolness to the passengers. The digital instrument cluster and spacious feel shows good packaging in the segment. Boot space is 419 liters in petrol and useful space remains in CNG despite the twin-cylinder setup.
Features and safety
The Pure+ comes with a 20.32 cm (about 8 inches) floating touchscreen infotainment system, which includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 4 speakers and HD reverse parking camera. A 65W front USB Type-C charger, cruise control (except CNG AMT) and shark-fin antenna add to the everyday convenience features.
For safety, 6 airbags are standard in all variants. Pure+ adds ESP with traction control, hill-hold control, intelligent TPMS, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX mounts. This safety package is strong in the segment.
engine option
The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine produces 86 hp and 113 Nm torque. In CNG it is limited to 75.5 hp and 96.5 Nm. Both 5-speed manual and AMT are available. Adequate performance is available for both city and highway. Overall, Tata Aeris Pure+ offers an excellent balance of features, safety and price. This variant can be a good option for buyers who want modern features and safety without spending much.
