Aprilia has revealed the prices of SXR GT 125 and SXR GT 175. Both the scooters have been updated with the new HP-e engine and larger 14-inch wheels. Additional features like TFT display and ABS are available in 175 model. Aprilia SXR GT 125 & SXR GT 175 have been launched in the Indian market.
Aprilia India has announced the official price for its updated SXR GT range. The launch price of SXR GT 125 hp-e has been kept at Rs 1,09,999 and the price of SXR GT 175 hp-e has been kept at Rs 1,29,999. Both the prices are as per ex-showroom Maharashtra. The company had also started booking these scooters in the beginning of this month. The new SXR GT range comes with an updated HP-E engine and larger 14-inch wheels, setting it apart from the earlier model.
These scooters have been designed to provide better acceleration and responsiveness for daily commuting and long trips. Both models comply with BS6 OBD-II Stage B norms and are compatible with E20 fuel. Available in three color options, these scooters come in maxi-scooter style and aim to strengthen their place in the premium segment in the market.
price and difference
The price of SXR GT 175 is Rs 20,000 more than the 125 model. The 175 model gets a 5-inch TFT instrument display and single-channel ABS, while the 125 gets a 5-inch LCD cluster and combined braking system.
color option
SXR GT 125 is available in Matte Black, Glossy Azzurro and Glossy White. SXR GT 175 comes in metallic blue, matte black and matte green colors. The old SXR features like broad front fairing, tall windscreen and three-part LED headlamps have been retained in the design.
New HP-E Engine
The SXR GT 175 has a 174.7 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which produces 9.76 kW (about 13.09 bhp) power at 7,200 rpm and 14.14 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm. The 124.45 cc engine of the SXR GT 125 produces 7.8 kW (about 10.46 bhp) at 7,400 rpm and 10.4 Nm torque at 6,200 rpm. Both have single overhead camshaft, three-valve/cylinder and electronic fuel injection system.
Large 14 inch wheels and suspension
Now 14 inch wheels have been installed in place of the earlier 12 inch wheels, which the company claims will improve stability and comfort. Telescopic forks are provided in the front and hydraulic shock absorbers (five position adjustable) are provided in the rear. Both models have 220 mm front disc and 140 mm rear drum brakes.
