Toyota has launched 2026 Toyota Glanza in the Indian market. The price of this updated premium hatchback starts from Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in five variant options – E, S, G, V and V(O). Their ex-price prices have been kept at Rs 6.99 lakh, Rs 7.71 lakh, Rs 8.73 lakh, Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 10.49 lakh respectively. Compared to the old model, the new Glanza has changed the front design, new features and a three-cylinder engine has been added.

Both petrol and CNG options are available with manual and AMT gearbox. It will compete with Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz in the market. With better features, safety and mileage, it has become an attractive option in the budget hatchback segment. Let’s take a look at the details from its design to engine and performance.

Design and interior

The front fascia of the new Glanza is completely revised. This includes a larger grille, satin trims, redesigned LED fog lamps and a shifted Toyota logo on the side of the bonnet. New 16-inch alloy wheels and shark-fin antenna have been provided on the sides. The rear design remains almost the same, with the wraparound LED taillights and roof spoiler intact.

It has been introduced with two new color options – Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black. The cabin layout remains the same, but the look has been freshened up with new leatherette seat upholstery and updated trims. There is no major change in the dashboard and controls.

Features and safety

The top variants get ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger with cooling vents, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Clarion 4-speaker + 2-tweeter sound system, monochrome head-up display, auto climate control, rear AC vents and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

6 airbags are standard in all its variants. Level 2 ADAS suite, 360-degree camera, hill hold control and ISOFIX child seat mounts are available in the top trims.

Engine and Performance

The old four-cylinder engine has been replaced by a new 1.2-litre Z12E three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 83 hp and 112 Nm torque. Power in CNG mode is 70 HP and torque is 102 Nm. 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes are available in both options.

The engine has an idle start-stop function, which improves the claimed fuel efficiency. The mileage in the petrol version is slightly higher than the old model, while the CNG version offers even better running costs.
