Google’s screenless fitness tracking band Fitbit Air may be launched in India soon. The company introduced it in select global markets on May 7 and had already confirmed that the device will come to India in October. Now Fitbit Air has been spotted on Flipkart with the tag ‘Coming Soon’. Its price has also been estimated from the listing, while a tipster has given information about the launch date in India.
Fitbit Air Price and Launch Date: Fitbit Air is listed on Flipkart with a retail price of Rs 13,999. At present its sale has not started and ‘Coming Soon’ is written on the website. The model number of the device is GA09509-AU given in the listing.
According to tipster Sanju Choudhary, Fitbit Air can be launched in India on October 2. Its probable price is said to be between Rs 12,999 to Rs 13,999. However, the launch date and price have not been officially confirmed by Google yet.
Will track fitness without screen
The biggest feature of Fitbit Air is its screenless design. That means there is no display in it. Its weight is said to be only 12 grams, which makes it easy to wear for a long time.
For fitness and health tracking, it has been provided with optical heart rate sensor, 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope. Apart from this, red and infrared sensors, skin temperature sensor and vibration motor are also present for SpO2 monitoring.
You will get personalized guidance from Google Health Coach
Fitbit Air can be used with Google Health Coach. It has been designed to provide personalized guidance to the user according to his fitness and wellness.
The band will work with both Android and iOS smartphones. Bluetooth Low Energy has been used for connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0 support is mentioned in the Flipkart listing. To sync data, the phone will require internet connection and location permission.
Battery will last for 7 days
Fitbit Air claims to have a battery life of up to 7 days. It can be available in Berry Sage, Green, Blue and Black color options.
The basic tracking features of the device are expected to remain free, but Google may offer a paid subscription plan to use all its advanced features. However, information related to its price and subscription in India will have to wait for the official announcement.
