Toyota has confirmed the launch of the facelift version of its premium MPV Innova Hycross in India on 25 November 2026. This is the first major update after its launch in 2022. The updated version is already being sold in Indonesia under the name Kijang Innova Genyx, which makes a lot clear about the upcoming model in India. The test mules and spy shots show a new front grille, sleeker headlamps, updated bumper and revised tail lamps.
The cabin is expected to get a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and full digital driver display instead of 10.1-inch. The powertrain will retain the existing 2.0-litre petrol and strong hybrid option, with flex-fuel capability also being mentioned. The price is expected to be between Rs 20 to 35 lakh (ex-showroom). This launch will prove to be very important for Toyota in the festive season.
design changes
Talking about the exterior, the facelift model will get a new grille, sleeker LED headlamps, updated front-rear bumper and new alloy wheels. Tail lamps will also be revised. These changes are similar to the Indonesian model and will give the Innova Hycross a more modern look.
Interior and Features
The biggest upgrade in the cabin is the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will replace the existing 10.1-inch unit. It will also come with a 12.3 inch full digital instrument cluster. Seat upholstery, interior color scheme and connected car software will be updated. Better comfort features can also be added to some variants.
Engine and powertrain
There will be no major changes in the powertrain. The 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (approximately 173 PS) will be available with CVT and the 2.0-litre strong hybrid (approximately 184 PS combined) will be available with e-CVT. According to reports, flex-fuel capability can be added to the hybrid version, allowing it to run on high ethanol blends (E30 or higher). This could be Toyota’s first flex-fuel passenger vehicle in India.
Expected price and competition
Currently Innova Hycross is available between Rs 18.70 to Rs 32.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of the facelift model is estimated to be around Rs 20 to 35 lakh. It will compete with cars like Maruti Suzuki Invicto in the premium MPV segment. Overall, this facelift will further strengthen the Innova Hycross with styling, features and possible flex-fuel option.
