Jharkhand batter Shikhar Mohan has been included in the India A squad for the last two four day matches against New Zealand A.
Shikhar will play alongside Test regulars KL Rahul, Washington Sundar, Dhruv Jurel, Devdutt Padikkal, and Sai Sudharsan. Its a well-deserved call-up for the 21-year-old, considering his recent impressive form in the domestic circuit.
Shikhar has started his Ranji Trophy campaign with back-to-back centuries against Kerala and Maharashtra. Prior to that, Shikhar scored twin half-centuries in the Duleep Trophy final to help East Zone lift the title. Shikhar also scored 60 for Rest of India against Jammu and Kashmir in the Irani Cup.
The first red-ball game between India A and New Zealand A will begin on October 26 Lincoln, followed by the second and third games in Christchurch and Lincoln again respectively.
