Shortly after the launch of the new iPhone, the company has made a big change in the prices of some of its old models in India. iPhone 17, iPhone 17e and iPhone Air have now become costlier than before on Apple’s online store.
This price increase has happened at a time when Apple has already increased the prices of many of its devices in India. According to reports, the increasing cost of RAM and storage at the global level may also affect the prices of smartphones in the future.
New price of iPhone 17
Apple has now increased the starting price of iPhone 17 in India to Rs 99,900. This is the price of the base model with 256GB storage. At the same time, the 512GB model will now be available for Rs 1,24,900.
iPhone 17 was launched in India last year at a starting price of Rs 82,900. That means the base model has now become costlier by Rs 17,000 compared to the launch price.
iPhone Air also became expensive
The price of Apple iPhone Air has also increased significantly. Its 256GB model is now priced at Rs 1,49,900. At the same time, the price of 512GB variant has become Rs 1,74,900 and the price of 1TB model has become Rs 2,24,900.
In comparison, iPhone Air was launched last year for Rs 1,19,900, Rs 1,39,900 and Rs 1,59,900 respectively. That means its different variants have become much more expensive than before.
The biggest increase in the price of iPhone 17e
The price of the recently launched iPhone 17e has seen the highest increase among the three models. Its 256GB model is now priced at Rs 79,900, while the 512GB variant is priced at Rs 1,04,900.
iPhone 17e was launched in India on March 2 at a starting price of Rs 64,900. Its 512GB model was priced at Rs 84,900 at that time.
Prices increased after the launch of new iPhone
These price changes have been made immediately after the launch of iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the first foldable iPhone Duo. The special thing is that the new iPhone 18 Pro series has also been introduced at a higher price than last year’s models.
In this way, due to the increase in the prices of both new and old iPhone models of Apple, the company’s premium smartphone portfolio in India has become costlier than before.
