Meta has introduced new VR Glasses weighing around 100 grams. Features like cinema, gaming, multiple office screens and AI will be available in the glasses. The company will launch it in Spring 2027 for $1,299.99. It will have facilities like 5K display, 3D movies, sports streaming, hand gesture control and hologram video calls.
Meta has introduced its new Meta VR Glasses in the world of virtual reality. They look like normal glasses, but will do no less work than a small computer. The company will launch them in the market in the spring of 2027. Its price will be $ 1,299.99 i.e. around Rs 1.1 lakh. The special thing is its weight, which is around 100 grams. That means there is no need to tie a heavy machine on the head. Wear glasses and have a big screen ready in front of your eyes.
Till now VR meant big headsets, thick straps and weight on the head. Meta has tried to reduce this hassle to a great extent. The glasses will have sensors and a screen, while the processor, battery and storage will be housed in a small puck. This puck can be worn on a pocket or bag and will be connected to the glasses with a thin cable. According to Meta, the weight of VR Glasses is about five times less than Meta Quest 3.
Meta VR Glasses have 5K Infinite Display. It is made on a micro-OLED screen and according to the company, the picture will appear very clear in it. Due to the special lens, it should be easy to read even small letters. It will also have support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. This means that the colors in the film can be felt more brilliant and the sound can be felt coming from all sides. 3D films are also being launched in collaboration with Disney. This means that you can keep your personal cinema with you even while sitting in the plane.

According to the company, 180 degree view and 8K streaming experience will be available through Immersive Sports. After launch, there are plans to provide more than 100 immersive live sports events every year. In gaming, hundreds of games can be streamed through Xbox Cloud Gaming. It will also be possible to play games on a larger virtual screen by connecting a Bluetooth gamepad. The most interesting thing about Meta VR Glasses is its hologram feature. The company is bringing such technology in which the other person will see your digital form during the video call. In this, an attempt will be made to show facial expressions and your reactions also. It can be used with apps like WhatsApp and Zoom. This means that a family or friend sitting far away can feel as if you are present right in front of them. The battery of the glasses is claimed to last for about three hours and 45W fast charging will be available. The price is $1,299.99 and the launch will be in Spring 2027.
