How powerful is the cheapest model of Hyundai Bayon? These features will be available for ₹ 9.99 lakhZoom

What is available in the base variant of Hyundai Bayon? Know

Hyundai Motor India has launched its new crossover SUV Hyundai Bayon in the Indian market, which has been positioned between Venue and Creta. The company has launched its base variant HX2 at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant is very important for budget buyers, because Hyundai has given many important and segment-first features in it while avoiding the basic cuts usually made in base models.

It has a strong platform with better cabin space and a powerful 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine from Creta. If you are looking for a practical, safe and full-size SUV-looking vehicle in a low budget, then this entry-level variant of Bayon directly changes the equation of compact SUV space. Let us know about the details from its design to engine performance.

design details

The base HX2 variant retains the premium coupe-crossover silhouette. Bold black grille and split headlight cluster are available in the front. However, it gets a traditional halogen setup and roof antenna instead of a fully connected LED light bar like the top variants. The side profile features body cladding, 15-inch steel wheels (with full wheel covers) and body colored door handles. The rear gets arrow-shaped taillamps and a rear skid plate with an integrated spoiler.

Cabin and Comfort

The cabin has fabric upholstery with all-black or dual-tone theme. The dashboard layout is modern and it gets flow from horizontal air vents. Due to the 2600 mm wheelbase, legroom and headroom for rear passengers is quite good. Apart from this, a large boot space of 505 liters is available, in which the rear seats can be folded in 60:40 split ratio if needed.

Features

Despite being a base variant, full attention has been paid to essential comfort. It gets a 4.2-inch digital TFT MID (instrument cluster), all four power windows, manual air conditioning, rear AC vents and electrically adjustable ORVMs. It does not have a large touchscreen for infotainment, but 12V power socket and USB charging port are provided.

Safety

Hyundai has not compromised on safety right from the base variant. These features are available as standard in it-

  • 6 airbags
  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)
  • ABS with EBD
  • Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC)
  • ISOFIX child seat anchors and 3-point seatbelts for all seats

  • Power and torque: Power of 115 PS and peak torque of 143.8 Nm
