Hyundai Bayon has entered the Indian market. It has been positioned between Hyundai Creta and Hyundai Venue in the company’s portfolio. This compact SUV has recently been launched in India, with a starting price of ₹ 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of the top variant goes up to ₹18 lakh.
Hyundai has introduced it with features like Generative AI Voice Assistant, Dual Screen and Level 2 ADAS. The CNG version is scheduled to arrive in January 2027. This SUV is suitable for both urban driving and family use. The prices are attractive, making it a strong contender in the mid-size segment. Mileage of Hyundai Bayon
It has a single 1.5-litre four-cylinder MPi petrol engine, which gives 115 PS power and 143.8 Nm torque. It is available with six-speed manual or iVT automatic transmission. The claimed fuel efficiency of the iVT version is 18.6 kmpl, while the manual figure has not been released yet. The automatic also gets paddle shifters, Eco/Normal/Sport drive modes and Dash Boost mode, which helps in overtaking.
Design and interior
Hyundai Bayon comes with H-Edge LED DRL, dual LED projector headlights, sculpted bonnet, roof rails and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Ground clearance is 205 mm. The interior features dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic display, leatherette seats, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and panoramic sunroof. Wheelbase is 2600 mm and boot space is 505 litres.
Features and safety
Features include NVIDIA-accelerated Connected Cockpit, 70+ Bluelink features, OTA updates, and 500+ voice commands. In safety, Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 Pro ADAS, navigation-based smart cruise control, highway driving assist and 35+ standard safety features (six airbags, ESC, TPMS etc.) are provided.
