Have the bike headlights become dull? Increase light in these 5 ways while sitting at homeZoom

The brightness of the bike headlight will increase in these 5 ways.

Good lighting is very important while riding a bike at night. Bad or weak headlights delay the visibility of potholes, animals or other vehicles on the road, which increases the risk of an accident. Many bike riders complain about the dim light of their headlights. The good thing is that headlight brightness can be increased significantly with some simple methods.

These include changing the bulb, cleaning the lens, checking the wiring and adjusting the angle. These measures not only increase visibility but also make night driving safe. By adopting the right methods, you can get better lighting without spending much. Let us know how the brightness of headlights can be increased while remaining within the legal limit?

1. Upgrade LED bulbs

Replace old halogen bulbs with good quality LED bulbs. LED bulbs consume less power, provide more brightness and last longer. Choose the right fitting bulb as per the bike model. Installation is easy, but make proper connections to avoid short circuit. This will make the road clearly visible at night and will also put less burden on the battery. Always use ISI marked products only.

2. Keep headlight lenses clean

The lens gets blurred due to the layer of dust, soil and water, due to which the light spreads less. Clean the lenses regularly with a microfiber cloth and mild cleaner. If water accumulates on the inside, dry it. The clear lens brings out the full brightness of the bulb. This is the cheapest and immediately effective method. Make a habit of cleaning once a week.

3. Set the headlight angle correctly

Due to wrong angle the light falls up or down and there is not enough light on the road. Park the bike against a wall and adjust the angle. The beam should be straight and slightly downwards so that it does not fall into the eyes of the driver in front. Correct angle increases visibility and reduces the risk of accident. You can also get it checked at the service center.

4. Check wiring and battery

Due to weak wiring or old battery the bulb does not get full voltage. If the connections are loose, tighten them and if the wires are burnt, replace them. Check battery voltage. A good condition battery and clean connection will ensure that the headlights burn at full power. If necessary, relay can also be installed. This keeps the brightness stable.

5. Install extra lights

Apart from the main headlight, install fog lamps or auxiliary LED lights. These illuminate the sides and bottom, providing better visibility on roadsides. Follow legal rules and do not install lamps with very bright light which disturb others. Choose good quality products that are waterproof. This will make night driving even safer.
