Harry Brook slammed the fastest ODI century in the 3rd match of the Tri-series against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
The England limited-overs captain sped to the landmark in 114 balls, bettering Indian batter Shubman Gill’s record of 117 balls.
Brook is the first England batter to breach the 200-run mark. The previous record was 182 by Ben Stokes against New Zealand in 2023.
Gill’s 117-ball double came against West Indies earlier this year, breaking the record held by compatriot Ishan Kishan against Bangladesh in 2022/23.
