Hyundai Motor India has recorded its highest ever monthly sales in September 2026. The company has sold a total of 77,916 units including domestic sales and exports, which is an increase of 10.8 percent compared to last year. This figure also surpassed the previous record made in July 2026. 57,166 units were sold in the domestic market, while the export figure was 20,750 units.
Double digit growth was seen in both the sectors. Hyundai Managing Director and CEO Tarun Garg expressed happiness over this achievement and said that this is a proof of the company’s strong product portfolio and customer preference. Further increase in sales is expected in the coming festive season also.
Strength in domestic sales
Hyundai’s domestic sales in September stood at 57,166 units, which is 10.9 percent more than last year. In August this figure was 54,396 units. This growth has further strengthened the company’s hold in the market.
Exports also increased
In exports, the company shipped 20,750 units, which shows an increase of 10.4 percent on an annual basis. Exports in August were 11,400 units, due to which a significant jump was seen in September.

Tarun Garg said that we are happy to close September 2026 with our highest ever total monthly sales of 77,916 units. This surpasses the previous record of July 2026. He attributed this success to continued product lineup and better performance in the global market.
Expectations from the festive season
The company expects more interest from customers in the festive season. There is a possibility of additional momentum in sales due to the recent start of bookings for Hyundai Bayon. Overall, this achievement of September has proved to be an important milestone for Hyundai Motor India.
