When will Lava phones become expensive?

Lava has said that the prices of its entire smartphone portfolio will be changed from November 15. However, the company has not yet told how much the increase will be on which phone. It is clear that this increase will be up to a maximum of Rs 3,000.

This does not mean that every Lava phone will become costlier by Rs 3,000. The price increase may vary according to different models and variants. The new prices will be applicable on online shopping platforms as well as offline shops.

Why is the company increasing the prices?

Lava has cited the increasing cost of RAM and storage chips as the reason behind this decision. Actually, smartphone manufacturing companies are facing problems in the supply of these components. Besides, their prices have also increased.

Apps and other tasks run with the help of RAM in the phone, while photos, videos and files are saved in the internal storage. Both of these are essential parts of the smartphone. The increase in their prices has a direct impact on the cost of making phones.

The company says that in view of this increased expenditure, the prices of smartphones have to be increased. That means this is not a price hike due to any new feature or hardware upgrade.

Let us tell you that Lava has said to increase the price up to a maximum of Rs 3,000. This means that some phones may be less expensive than before. At present the company has not disclosed the new prices of different models.

Therefore, it is difficult to say right now which Lava smartphone will see the biggest increase. Information about new prices may be revealed around November 15.
