WhatsApp may soon bring such a feature, with the help of which even those people who do not have an account on this app can be included in WhatsApp calls. Currently, to join WhatsApp calls, it is necessary for the user to have an account on the platform. But Meta is now preparing to change this rule.
According to the report, WhatsApp is working on a new feature called Guest Calls. Through this, users will be able to create a call link and share it with people who do not use WhatsApp. The special thing is that the person receiving the link will neither have to create a new account nor download the WhatsApp app.
How will WhatsApp Guest Calls feature work?
According to the report of WABetaInfo, this feature can be based on the existing Guest Chat system of WhatsApp. The user will be able to create a call link directly from the Calls tab of WhatsApp.
For this, first the type of call has to be selected, then a link will be generated. After this, that link can be shared with friends, family or office colleagues.
If the other person does not have WhatsApp in his phone, then he will be able to open the link directly in the web browser. After this the call can start through WhatsApp Web. That means there will be no need to install the app or create a WhatsApp account.
This feature can be especially useful for those groups where some people use WhatsApp and some do not. It can also be easy to connect people in family calls, online meetings or team discussions.

The host has control over who will enter the call.
It has come to light that the host also gets some important controls in Guest Calls. If someone tries to join the call through Guest Link, the host will be able to accept or reject the request.
Once the call starts, the host will also be able to add or remove people. If needed, you can also get the option to end the entire call altogether.
What will happen regarding privacy?
According to the report, End-to-End Encryption may continue to be used in guest calls also. That means WhatsApp is trying to maintain its existing security.
However, this feature is still in the development stage. At present its prototype has not been made available even to Beta Testers. WhatsApp has not announced any date for its official rollout.
If this feature becomes available to all users in the future, then adding someone to a call on WhatsApp can be very easy. The facility to join calls without an account and without an app can make it more convenient than platforms like Zoom and Google Meet.
