Samsung Galaxy S27: Samsung has not yet given any official information regarding Samsung Galaxy S27. But, some leaks show that this time the company can make many major upgrades in this phone, from battery to chipset.
This time Samsung is going to set a new benchmark in terms of speed.
New Delhi. In the smartphone market, Chinese brands Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo are giving a direct challenge to Samsung by providing batteries ranging from 7,000mAh to 8,000mAh through silicon-carbon (Si/C) technology. For the last six years, Samsung has stuck to 5,000mAh batteries in its Ultra models. Now the South Korean tech giant has made full preparations to compete with Chinese brands in this matter also. According to some leaks, the company is going to make two major upgrades in the Samsung Galaxy S27 series.
Since the launch of Galaxy S20 Ultra in 2020, Samsung has provided a 5,000mAh battery in even the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Data from China’s 3C certification database shows that this trend is now breaking. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is seen to have a rated battery of 5,534mAh, which the company may officially introduce as 5,700mAh. That means a straight jump of 700mAh. Galaxy S27 Pro will have a 5,087mAh rated battery, which will probably come in the market with the name of 5,200mAh. This is a huge jump from the previous model’s 4,300mAh battery.
LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.1 storage
This time Samsung is going to set a new benchmark in terms of speed. Galaxy S27 Ultra and Pro models can be equipped with LPDDR6 RAM and the industry’s fastest UFS 5.1 storage. However, leaks indicate that this ultra-fast memory setup can be seen only in select top-end variants. Samsung may not jump straight to the 8,000mAh mark like its Chinese rivals, but the company’s real masterstroke will be its optimization. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to get the next-generation Snapdragon chipset, which will be built on the state-of-the-art power-efficient node.
The combination of the enlarged 5,700mAh battery and the highly efficient processor can take the phone’s screen-on-time (SOT) to a level where it can compete directly with Chinese flagships and the iPhone 18 Pro Max. This step of Samsung is a clear message that it is no longer in a mood to lag behind anyone in the flagship race.
