The second One Day International between New Zealand and India saw the host make a concussion substitution as Matt Fischer replaced Blair Tickner during the innings break in Wellington on Saturday.

Tickner was struck by a bouncer from Anshul Kamboj in the 41st over, and the batter was eventually dismissed for 2 in the same over. The 33-year-old pacer bowled four overs in the previous match and scored 34 off 23 balls as New Zealand lost the first ODI by the DLS method in Auckland.

Fisher, who made his ODI debut against West Indies in July, is playing in his first ODI on home soil on Saturday.

Fisher has played seven matches for New Zealand across formats so far, taking eight wickets. He was first fast-tracked into the New Zealand squad last year after his quick pace caught the attention of head coach Rob Walter when he was a net bowler in the lead-up to the Zimbabwe tour in August last year.

New Zealand will play five ODIs against India at home, followed by two Tests. The host side currently trails the series 0-1.
