2026 Hyundai Bayon has made a spectacular entry in the Indian market. The company has placed it between Venue and Creta in its portfolio. Coming in the price range of ₹ 9.99 lakh to ₹ 18 lakh (ex-showroom), this car is equipped with many modern features and specifications in its segment. It has advanced features like 12.3-inch dual screen, level-2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and generative AI voice assistant.
Despite this, considering today’s tough competition and the price going up to Rs 18 lakh for the top variant, it lacks some important features that are important for customers in this segment and budget. Let us know about 5 such missing features, which could have made Hyundai Venue a more advanced choice.
1. Dual-zone climate control
Dual-zone automatic climate control is now becoming quite popular in this segment. In competitors like Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra and Renault Duster, the driver and co-passenger can set different temperatures as per their choice. Only single-zone automatic AC is provided in Bion, which seems a bit inferior considering its premium cabin experience and top variant.
2. Rear Window Sunshades
Rear window sunshades prove to be a very practical and essential feature in the scorching summer season of India. Surprisingly, even the Hyundai Venue, which comes in the segment below the Bayon, comes with factory-fitted curtains, but it has been omitted in the Bayon. Due to this, it will be a little difficult for the passengers sitting behind to protect themselves from the sun.
3. Powered Tailgate
The Bayon has a large boot space of 505 litres, which is one of the biggest USPs of this vehicle. However, no electric or powered button is provided to open or close its tailgate. Some vehicles in the segment are now offering the facility of smart or powered tailgate, which makes it much easier while loading heavy goods.
4. Turbo-petrol and diesel options
Hyundai has launched Bayon with only 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine (115 PS). In a segment where customers prefer performance-oriented turbo engines or diesels for highway mileage, the absence of any turbo-petrol or diesel options in the Bayon makes it accessible to a limited number of people.
5. Cooled glovebox and air purifier
Considering the Indian climate and ever-increasing air pollution, in-cabin air purifier and cooled glovebox prove to be quite useful. Hyundai has been providing both these features in its vehicles like Venue and Creta, but these two practical features have been left out even in the top variants of Bion.
