Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG vs Maruti Suzuki Brezza S-CNG: The CNG option has now become stronger in the Indian compact SUV segment. Mahindra has recently launched XUV 3XO ZNG (CNG), whose ex-showroom price starts from Rs 9.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.27 lakh. Whereas the starting price of Maruti Suzuki Brezza S CNG starts from around Rs 9.40 lakh and the top variant reaches around Rs 11.8 lakh.
Both cars come with factory-fitted CNG kit and run on petrol-CNG dual-fuel system. While the Brezza has long been known for its economical mileage and reliability, the XUV brings the power and modern features of the 3XO ZNG turbo engine. Before choosing between the two, know the details from their design to features and engine performance.
design details
The design of XUV 3XO ZNG is bold and attractive. It has LED projector headlamps, connected tail lamps and muscular look. Road presence seems better due to wheelbase being 2600 mm. The look of Brezza is more balanced and family-friendly. Both are around 4 meters long, but the XUV is slightly wider and looks more modern.
Interior and Features
Features like 10.25-inch touchscreen and digital cluster (in higher variants), wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, sunroof, dual-zone climate control and Dolby Atmos are available in the XUV 3XO. Brezza also has a 7-9 inch screen, Android Auto/CarPlay, rear AC vents and basic connectivity, but the feature list lags a little behind the XUV. The Brezza is ahead in boot space (about 328 litres) as its CNG tank is in the underbody, while the XUV gets 270 liters of usable space despite its twin-cylinder setup.
Who is ahead in safety?
Both have 6 airbags, ESC, ABS and ISOFIX as standard. Brezza has received a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP. The XUV 3XO also comes with a robust safety package, which includes TPMS and 360 degree camera.
Engine and Mileage
The 1.2-litre turbo petrol-CNG engine of the XUV 3XO ZNG produces around 111 hp and 200 Nm of torque in both modes. Which has the highest torque in the segment. Its claimed mileage is 24.7 km/kg. The Brezza’s 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine produces around 88 hp and 121.5 Nm of torque on CNG, but the claimed mileage is 26.9 km/kg.
Who to buy?
If you want more power and modern features, then XUV 3XO ZNG is a better option. If pure mileage and boot space are priority, Brezza S CNG still remains a strong contender. Both the cars offer economical running costs and are suitable for both city and highway driving. Before buying any of these, definitely take a test drive.
