Honda Elevate Facelift vs Hyundai Creta: Honda Elevate Facelift and Hyundai Creta are two strong contenders in the Indian mid-size SUV segment. The ex-showroom price of the recently launched new Honda Elevate starts from Rs 11.80 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.40 lakh. Whereas Hyundai Creta is available starting from Rs 10.91 lakh to around Rs 20.06 lakh. The starting price of Creta is slightly low, but it becomes more expensive in the top variant, as it also has diesel and turbo-petrol options.

Both the vehicles are comfortable, feature-packed and stylish for the family. The Elevate emphasizes Honda’s reliability and space, while the Creta looks ahead in features, engine options and premium feel. Which one to choose depends on budget, need and priority. Let us know about the design, interior, features, safety and performance of both.

design details

The Elevate facelift has a new front grille, connected LED DRL and updated lighting signature. It looks a bit high and wide. The design of Creta is more attractive and modern. Split headlamp, bold front and 18 inch alloy wheels give it a more premium look. The ground clearance of Elevate is 220 mm, which is more than Creta.

Cabin and Comfort

Both have 5 seats. The wheelbase of Elevate is 2650 mm, which is more than that of Creta (2610 mm). It has better rear space and boot space (458 liters vs 433 litres). The Elevate comes with ventilated seats on both the front and rear seats, which is unique in the segment. Creta has panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, reclining rear seats and seats with more powered adjustment. The cabin of Creta gives a more luxury feel.

Features and safety

Both have 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, connected car tech and wireless charger. The Elevate comes with a single-pane sunroof, 360-degree camera (top variant) and rear ventilated seats. Panoramic sunroof, Bose audio, full digital driver display and rear sunshades are more attractive in Creta.

Both get standard 6 airbags, ESC, hill assist and level-2 ADAS. The Creta’s ADAS is camera+radar based, while the Elevate is primarily camera-based. Both are safe, but TPMS and some advanced features are more easily available in Creta.

Engine and Performance

Elevate has only 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which gives 121 PS power and 145 Nm torque. 6-speed manual or CVT options are available. Mileage is around 15.3-16.6 km/litre. Creta has three engine options: 1.5 liter NA petrol (115 PS), diesel (116 PS, 250 Nm) and turbo-petrol (160 PS, 253 Nm). The diesel and turbo options make the Creta more powerful and efficient, especially on the highway.

Overall, if you want space, rear ventilation and Honda’s reliability then Elevate is better. If you want engine options, panoramic sunroof and more features, then Creta is ahead. Both are good purchases as per budget and needs.
