Bengal fast-bowler Mohammed Shami picked four wickets against Delhi on Day 1 of the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 season on Sunday.

Shami’s spell of 4/30 helped Bengal bowl out Delhi for 270. His scalps included Yash Dhull, Ayush Doseja, Hrithik Shokeen, and Divij Mehra.
Shami’s performance is a continuation of the rich vein of form he showed in the Duleep Trophy, where he picked seven wickets at an average of 26.57 on his way to a second title.
In the Ranji Trophy last year, Shami picked 37 wickets with a BBI of 8/90, and capped off his 2025-26 campaign with 25 wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and 16 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali.
