Honda Cars India has introduced the first major update of its mid-size SUV Elevate in India. This model, launched in 2023, has been redesigned in the form of a facelift after three years. The price of the new Elevate starts at Rs 11.80 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 18.40 lakh for the top variant. Pre-booking had started from 1st October.
In this update, slight changes have been made in the exterior design, many new features in the interior and some important additions in safety, but the engine and gearbox remain the same. The company has also installed additional sound insulation to reduce noise in the cabin, which was one of the biggest complaints of the previous model. In the market it will compete with SUVs like Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Maruti Grand Vitara. Let us know what changes have taken place in it.

The most obvious change in the exterior is seen in the lighting signature. A new segmented LED DRL strip has been installed above the grille, which connects both the headlights. The mesh pattern of the grill has been changed and it has been given a gloss black finish. The fog lamp housings are now in body color and the Honda logo has been removed from the grille and shifted to the front edge of the bonnet.

At the rear, a new LED light bar connects both the tail-lamps. The alloy wheels are the same old. A new color option – Nordic Forest Pearl has been added, which is available in both monotone and dual-tone. The body cladding has now been given a gloss black finish instead of matte. Overall the shape and profile of the vehicle remains the same, but these small changes give it a fresh look.

Interior and Features
The changes in the cabin are more noticeable. The faux wood trim on the dashboard has been replaced with white leatherette padding and stitching. Factory-fitted ambient lighting is now available in higher variants. The most special thing is the ventilation function on the rear seats, which has been provided for the first time in the segment. Both front seats are now powered and ventilated.

A 360-degree camera, capacitive-touch rear LED reading lamps and an auto-hold function with electronic parking brake have been added in the CVT variants. Features like 10.25-inch infotainment screen, semi-digital instrument cluster, single-pane sunroof, lane-watch camera, wireless charger and phone connectivity remain the same.

Honda Sensing ADAS suite has been updated to enhance safety in Honda Elevate. Front parking sensors, rear disc brakes and adaptive cruise control (with low-speed follow function, CVT only) are now available. 6 airbags were already standard.
There has been no change in its engine.
Engine and Performance
There has been no change in the powertrain. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 121 horsepower and 145 Newton-meter torque. 6-speed manual and CVT gearboxes are available as options. The company claims that the manual variant gives a mileage of 15.31 km/liter and the CVT gives a mileage of 16.61 km/liter. The strong-hybrid option available in the City is not yet available in the Elevate. The additional sound-deadening material is claimed to improve the NVH levels of the cabin.
Overall, this facelift is mainly a cosmetic and feature-oriented update. The price has been kept the same in the base, but there has been an increase of about Rs 1.94 lakh at the top end. The new ZX+ and ZX+ Black Edition have also been included in the lineup.
