New Delhi. With iPhone prices in India rising by a whopping 40%, social media is once again flooded with “kidney selling” memes. The company fears falling sales due to the sharp increase in prices just before the festive season. Keeping this in view, Apple has now opened a big box of offers to provide relief to the customers. The company will now woo customers through bumper cashback, huge exchange bonuses for old phones and easy installments.
The recent price increase by Apple has shaken the customers. The starting price of iPhone 17 increased by 20.5% to ₹99,900, while the starting prices of iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max increased by 20 to 22% to ₹1,64,900 and ₹1,79,900 respectively. The starting price of iPhone Duo, launched in the foldable segment, was kept at ₹ 2,99,900, whose 2TB model reached ₹ 4,49,900. The biggest impact was seen on iPhone Air, whose price of 1TB variant increased by 40.6% to ₹ 2,24,900.
Expanded the scope of cash back and benefits
According to a report by Moneycontrol, Apple has significantly increased the scope of bank cashback and trade-in benefits. Under the new offers, a maximum direct bank cashback of ₹ 7,000 will be given on iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the new foldable iPhone Duo. An additional exchange bonus of up to ₹ 10,000 will also be available on exchanging the old phone on these premium models. In total, there will be direct savings of up to ₹ 17,000.
Discount will also be available on iPhone 17
Cashback of ₹ 5,000 and exchange benefit of up to ₹ 8,000 will be given on the purchase of iPhone 17. Cashback up to ₹4,000 will be available on iPhone Air, ₹3,000 on iPhone 17e and iPhone 16 and ₹2,000 on iPhone 15.
Rs 0 down payment and easy no-cost installments
To keep expensive phones within the reach of common buyers, the company has made the ‘iPhone for Life’ plan a little more beneficial. Under this plan, a down payment of zero rupees has to be paid. In this, there will be a facility to pay 75 percent of the total price of the phone in interest-free monthly installments (No-Cost EMI) for 24 months. The remaining 25 percent amount has to be paid after completion of two years. New models like iPhone 17 can also be purchased at no-cost EMI of 18 to 24 months. Whereas on normal card EMI, option of interest free payment for 6 months will be given.
Good discount on MacBook, iPad and Apple Watch also
Apple will give cashback of ₹ 15,000 and exchange benefit of up to ₹ 10,000 on the purchase of MacBook Pro. Whereas a cashback of ₹ 10,000 will be available on MacBook Air with M5 chip and ₹ 7,000 on MacBook Neo. Similarly, a discount of up to ₹ 4,000 will be available on the entire iPad range. Cashback of ₹ 4,000 is being given on Apple Watch Ultra 4 and Series 12 and ₹ 2,000 on Watch SE 3. There is a discount of ₹ 2,000 on AirPods Pro (3rd Gen) and HomePod.
