A few hours before Apple’s launch event on September 9, Apple Watch SE 3 has suddenly become unavailable on the company’s website. In some other countries including America, availability of almost all configurations of Apple Watch SE 3 appears to be out of stock on Apple’s online store. This sudden change has given rise to speculations that the company may launch the new Apple Watch SE 4 at today’s event.
However, if we look at the old launch pattern of Apple’s SE series, this would be a bit surprising. The company has not yet launched new models in this series for two consecutive years.
Apple Watch SE 3 suddenly becomes unavailable
Many variants of Apple Watch SE 3 are currently appearing ‘Unavailable’ on Apple’s online store. Apart from America, this situation has also been seen in some other markets. However, Apple has not yet explained why the stock is not available.
Its timing is definitely quite interesting. Apple is organizing its big launch event today on September 9, in which along with new iPhone models, new products related to Apple Watch are also expected to be introduced. This event will start in India at around 10:30 pm.
Will Apple Watch SE 4 enter?
After SE 3 suddenly being out of stock, the biggest question is whether Apple is going to introduce Apple Watch SE 4 today. However, considering the company’s previous launch pattern, its chances seem low at the moment.
The first Apple Watch SE was launched in September 2020. After this, Apple introduced Apple Watch SE 2 in September 2022 and then Apple Watch SE 3 in September 2025. That means the company has kept a gap of about two to three years in this line every time.
In such a situation, the launch of SE 4 after just one year will be different from Apple’s strategy till now. Even in the reports, the launch of Apple Watch SE 4 was not expected before the event.
What is the real reason?
At present, the reason for Apple Watch SE 3 being unavailable is not clear. This could just be a temporary problem related to stock or online store. On the other hand, if Apple makes any surprise announcement today then entry of SE 4 is also possible.
Now its picture will become clear only during Apple’s event to be held tonight. If SE 4 is introduced, it would be a major change from the company’s usual launch pattern for the Apple Watch SE line.
