India will look to defend its men’s cricket Asian Games title as it takes on Pakistan in the final at the Korogi Athletic Park in Nisshin City on Saturday.
The Men in Blue entered the final by overpowering Sri Lanka in the semifinal, while Pakistan bettered Bangladesh in its last-four clash.
This will be Pakistan’s first appearance in a men’s cricket final at the Asian Games.
With the weather having played a large part in cricket, with multiple matches getting called off, there is considerable interest around whether the India and Pakistan match will go on ahead as per the schedule.

According to AccuWeather, “brilliant sunshine” is expected over the city on Saturday. At around 1:30pm local time (10am IST), the temperature is expected to be around 26 degrees Celsius with a cloud cover of 3 per cent. Wind speeds are set to reach around 11kmph.
The Weather Channel suggests “intervals of clouds and sunshine” with a temperature close to 26 degrees.
