Naman Dhir made his India debut in the first ODI against West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday.
With Ruturaj Gaikwad also in the playing XI, Naman is expected to slot in the lower middle-order, likely in between KL Rahul and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
The Punjab batter comes into his debut international game on the back of a profilic Sher-e-Punjab 2026 season, where he scored an impressive 173 off 64 balls for his side Amritsar Soormas.
Naman also had a fairly decent IPL 2026 season, where he scored 318 runs from 14 matches at a strike rate of 147.22, including two half-centuries.
