WhatsApp has introduced four new features to make group chat easier and better than before. With their help, it will be easier for new members to understand the old conversations going on in the group, while existing users will also be able to easily see important messages and updates.
The new update includes the facility to share message history, pin messages forever, filter messages based on mentions and share status separately in groups. According to the company, the purpose of these features is to manage group conversations in a better way and to connect new members with old discussions.
1-Now you can pin messages forever on WhatsApp:
WhatsApp currently allows pinning a maximum of four messages at a time in a group chat. Users can keep a message pinned for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Now the company has also added the option to pin it forever.
With this, important messages of the group, such as rules, important information or details of any event, can be kept at the top for a long time. Users will not need to pin messages again and again.
2-You will be able to share old Chat History with new members:
The second new feature of WhatsApp will be useful for those people who are added to a group later. Now group admins and managers will be able to share the history of recent messages after a new member joins.
For this, message history can be shared by tapping on the name of the member who recently joined the group. The company says that the messages shared will also be protected by end-to-end encryption.

Earlier too, WhatsApp used to give the administrator the option to share message history while adding a new member to the group. But if the administrator forgot to share the history at that time, then it was not easy to do this work later. With the new feature, old conversations can now be shared even with missing members.
3-You will be able to search messages easily through Mentions:
Under the third feature, WhatsApp is providing the facility to filter messages on the basis of mention in group chat. By applying this filter, those messages in which a user has been tagged will be highlighted in the chat window.
It can now be easier to find your mention among the continuous messages in large groups. This will also reduce the chances of missing important conversations.
4-You can share different status in WhatsApp group:
The fourth feature is Group Status. With its help, users will be able to share their status with members of a particular WhatsApp group. This means that instead of sharing the status with all the contacts every time, it can be limited to a selected group.
This feature will work like the normal status of WhatsApp. The photo or video shared in it will automatically disappear after 24 hours. Other members of the group will be able to react to that status and also share their status.
