Here’s a closing note by our reporter, Alan Jose John who is currently at Jalandhar covering the Asian Champions Trophy.
Another day and another win for India. Harmanpreet and Sukhjeet hit braces and Jugraj bagged one as India completed a 5-2 win.
The first quarter was all about India putting them under pressure and searching for goals. A couple of chances came in but India were unable to convert them.
Sukhjeet broke the deadlock to put India ahead before China made a comeback in the second quarter.
They were able to equalise as India looked a bit too static during play. Then Harmanpreet stepped up to restore the lead and keep India ahead.
The third quarter was all India as Harmanpreet and Sukhjeet made it 4-1 before China pulled one back.
India finally got home as Jugraj found the net and they move back to the top of the table.
Up next is Japan tomorrow, who have also won all their matches. With India resting some stars tonight, it will be interesting to see the setup Fulton will go for on Friday.
