After smartwatch and fitness band, now Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal is coming up with a wearable device which is designed to track the changes related to blood flow in the brain. The name of this device is Temple. Its pre-orders are going to start from 1 November 2026. However, some selected users are getting a chance to buy it before the general public. The possible price of the device has also been revealed from this early-access invite.
A user named Tharun M on X has shared a screenshot of Temple’s early-access email. According to this, the price of the first batch of the device can be ₹ 85,000. It is said that lifetime subscription is also included in this price.
However, this information has been received from emails sent to selected users. The company has not yet announced the official launch price of the device. Therefore, the price of ₹ 85,000 should be considered tentative for now.
The users selected in the email have been asked to download the Temple app and sign in with the same email address on which they received the invite. The number of devices in the first batch will be limited and each unit will be hand-built after receiving the order.
Pre-orders will start from November 1
Pre-orders for the first batch of temples are scheduled to begin from November 1, 2026. Before this, users who received early-access invites will be able to order the device through the app. The company plans to make it available in batches, so initially it will not be possible to get the device to all customers.
Temple can be available in a total of six colors. These include True Gold, Rose Gold, Black Mirror, Real Jade, Deep Blue and Purple Funk. According to the early-access information, Real Jade, Deep Blue and Purple Funk could be limited edition colors.
What is Temple and how does it work?
Temple is a brain-monitoring wearable designed to track changes in blood flow in the brain. While common smartwatches keep an eye on heart rate, sleep and physical activity, Temple tries to measure changes related to blood flow in the brain through optical sensors. The company calls this technology BrainFlow.
This device is placed on the side of the head, between the forehead and ears. Single-use adhesive strips called Grips are used to stick it on the skin.
Entropy score between 1 to 250 is also available in the temple. According to the company, this score has been created to show signs related to physical stress on the body. Factors like sleep, exercise, stress and caffeine can affect this score.
However, the temple has been built for wellness and research. It should not be used as a substitute for identification or medical diagnosis of any disease.
