WhatsApp is testing a new Message Scheduling feature for Android users, with the help of which messages can be sent at a pre-determined date and time. With this feature it can be easy to send birthday greetings, important reminders and office messages. A new feature is coming for WhatsApp users, with the help of which messages can be scheduled in advance. This means that now if you want to wish someone a happy birthday, send an important reminder or send any office-related message, then there will be no need to sit with the phone to send it on time. WhatsApp is testing this feature in the Android app.
According to the report, this feature has been seen in Android beta version 2.26.42.9 of WhatsApp. With its help, users will be able to write a message and decide in advance the date and time for sending it. However, its testing is still going on and this feature can be available only to selected beta users. The company has not yet told the date of rollout for all its users.
How will WhatsApp’s Message Scheduling feature work? Through this feature, users will be able to schedule messages in a personal chat. For this, first you have to type the message and then choose the date and time to send it.

According to the interface seen in the beta version, a Date Picker has been provided to select the date. Along with this, options to choose hours, minutes and AM or PM are also available. After setting the time, WhatsApp shows a confirmation button, on which the fixed time for sending the message is visible.
In the tested beta build, users could schedule messages for dates from October 23 to November 6. That is, the option for up to 15 calendar days including the current day was visible. However, this limit is based on the version currently in testing and may change during the development of the feature.
How to Schedule WhatsApp Messages on Android? If this feature is available in your WhatsApp beta version, you can follow these steps: Open WhatsApp on your Android phone and go to the chat of the person to whom you want to send the message.
Type your message in the message box. Press and hold the Send button to open the scheduling interface. Select the date and time to send the message. Check the selected time and set the schedule by tapping on the confirmation button. After this the message will automatically be scheduled to be sent at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that these steps are based on the interface seen in the beta version, so there may be changes in the final feature.
When will the new feature of WhatsApp be available? Message Scheduling feature is currently seen in beta version 2.26.42.9 of Android. But just by installing the beta version it is not necessary that the feature becomes available in your account. WhatsApp usually activates new features gradually for select beta users.
The company has not yet told when this feature will be released for all Android users. There is currently no clear information regarding its availability on iPhone and WhatsApp Web. Users who do not see this option yet will have to wait for its global rollout.
