You can get a chance to earn by posting videos on Elon Musk’s social media platform X. The company is testing a new program, under which selected creators will be given a fixed bonus of $ 3,000 i.e. about Rs 2.85 lakh for posting original videos. The name of this program is Video Kickstart Bonus and currently it has been started only for creators selected through invitation.
The purpose of this program is to encourage creators to post videos on X regularly. Unlike many other monetization programs, earnings in this will not depend on the views or likes received on the video. Instead, creators must meet video posting requirements within a certain time frame.
What are the terms of the X Video Kickstart Bonus?
Allegra Jacchia, Creator Product Lead at SpaceXAI, gave information about this program through a post on X. Under this, creators will have to post at least 15 videos during the 30-day campaign. These videos should be posted on 15 different days. That means uploading all the videos on the same day will not fulfill the condition.
Each video must be in vertical format and be less than three minutes long. Also, the video must contain original content from the creator.
Creators can also use their videos previously posted on other platforms, as long as they don’t contain a watermark. At the same time, videos commenting on other people’s content may also be eligible if they contain meaningful and original input from the creator. Simply reposting someone else’s video will not be enough.
Who can take advantage of this bonus?
At present, no creator can apply directly for the Video Kickstart Bonus. X has also not yet announced publicly the eligibility criteria for receiving invitations. Therefore simply having a certain number of followers or views does not guarantee joining this program.
Creators who will receive the invitation can enroll in it by going to the Programs section of Create Studio. According to the report, the selected creators will have to enroll by October 30.
There is no minimum requirement of views or engagement to participate in this program. However, it will be necessary to post a certain number of eligible videos.
How is this program different from Original Content Rewards?
X’s Video Kickstart Bonus is separate from its Original Content Rewards program. In Original Content Rewards, engagement from X Premium subscribers plays a role in determining earnings. At the same time, in the Video Kickstart Bonus, it has been said that a fixed bonus of $ 3,000 will be given on fulfilling the conditions.
Terms like premium subscription for Original Content Rewards, minimum 500 verified followers, and 5 lakh impressions should not be considered mandatory conditions for the Video Kickstart Bonus.
X has also said that participants of this program can get a fast track to join the Original Content Rewards. However, this is a separate program and its rules will apply.
Currently the video is in the Kickstart Bonus testing stage. X has not yet clarified whether it will be made available to more creators in the future or not.
