The Tamil Nadu vs Rajasthan Ranji Trophy 2026-27 match ended in a draw at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday.
Tamil Nadu was batting on 62/0 while chasing 282 for victory when the teams shook hands with less than three hours of play remaining. With only one session left, both sides agreed to end the contest early.
Rajasthan had the upper hand for much of the match. Batting first, the home side posted 363, led by Karan Lamba’s 113 off 156 balls. Opener Rohan Rajbhar provided solid support with 95 off 220 balls, while Mahipal Lomror contributed 66 off 105 balls lower down the order.
Tamil Nadu endured a shaky start in its first innings, losing Sai Sudharsan for three. However, Narayan Jagadeesan and Pradosh Ranjan Paul steadied the innings with half-centuries before both fell soon after, leaving the visitor in a spot of bother.
Andre Siddarth then scored a crucial 81 off 192 balls to help Tamil Nadu reach 274, conceding an 89-run first-innings lead. Rajasthan declared its second innings at 192/6, setting Tamil Nadu a target of 282.
Tamil Nadu negotiated the remainder of the match without losing a wicket, finishing at 62/0 before the teams called it a day. Rajasthan secured three points by virtue of its first-innings lead, while Tamil Nadu took one point.
